Learning To Trust in The Midst of Trouble
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth (believes, hopes, has confidence, has faith, expectation and dependence) in thee. Isaiah 26:3 (King James Version)
We are living in a day where there is so much uncertainty, dissolution and distrust. But there is a God who has not forgotten you and is well aware of all that concerns you.
Trust requires not knowing how God is going to do what needs to be done in your life and not knowing when he will do it but using your faith (the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen – Hebrews 11:1) to know that He will do anything but fail. God uses times of trouble to strengthen our faith and trust in him. It is during these times that we must lean and depend on God who is the author and finisher of our faith to see us through. It is also during these times that we grow in Christ. We learn to rely and depend on Him by going through experiences that require us to trust Him in and for everything.
If He did everything when we wanted him to, we would never grow and develop. We have to believe and trust God regardless of what is going on around us, in us and to us. Yes, there will be times when we just don’t get it, we just don’t understand it, we just can’t comprehend it, we just can’t embrace it and that’s when we must "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6
Situations will teach you to trust, circumstances will teach you to trust, disappointments will teach you to trust, trials and tribulations will teach you to trust. I encourage you to "Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal." Isaiah 26:4
During your times of testing and trials, I encourage you to refer to the following scriptures.
"And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you." Psalm 9:10
"Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act." Psalm 37:3-5
It is my sincere prayer that you will continue to grow in grace and trust God when you can’t trace what is going on in your life because he will show up in the midst of your midst of!!
